This is one of the first roles people think of when it comes to dogs. Animals with four legs have traditionally done these tasks with ease. Service animals is a large category for all dogs assisting the handicapped, doing police work, cadaver dogs, search and rescue, therapy, companions, and many more. Television Animals
The lights please
It is no doubt that service animals are important to their owners, however most people are used to seeing animals with 4 legs on television. The majority of U.S. households enjoy seeing animals play a co-star. After all animals make better co-stars than some human actors, because they do not complain to the director or they do not have ridiculous requests. I really enjoyed watching the Frazier sitcom. It starred a Jack Russel Terrier named Eddie. You can read more about Eddie here. Eddie was a four-legged celebrity played by two dog relatives but the television is big enough for more animal entertainment. This star was not a dog but he was one of the most well-known horses on television. I grew up watching this horse entertain America. I was too young to understand a horse could not talk. Movie Stars
Television is probably the most watched source for entertainment, but every now and then a four-legged celebrity gains fame and he makes it to the “big” screen. Animals are lovable characters in the movies. Kids love to see animals in the movies. You may not agree with me but I believe the most adorable Labrador to appear on film was Marley from Marley and Me.Read about this little precious Labrador. The movie stars in the film are Owen
Get My Best Side
Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. It is a great date movie, but the ending is sad. This star won his acclaim on a different stage, however his accomplishments on the race track made the Hollywood directors take notice. His name was Seabiscuit. Most horse race fans have known about his life for a long time, but Hollywood told his story in a movie. Seabicuit’s life story can be read here. Seabicuit is not what most people consider a four-legged celebrity, I disagree because he is a animal with four legs and he undoubtedly is a celebrity. At the time he was the most well-known horse of his time.

Talent Shows
I want to take a minute to discuss one of the roles animals play that is designed to entertain us. In my opinion dogs are more entertaining than a frog who jumps through hoops. It is more difficult to get an animal with four legs to maneuver on
Hang on Fluffy
command. The most recognized talent show on television is Pet Star broadcast-ed by the Animal Planet channel, hosted by Mario. I love watching a dog dance or perform an agility test.
